St. Peter Chanel College collected TOP$500,000

St. Peter Chanel College of Vava’u had collected more than half a million pa’anga from their Golden Jubilee celebration, 2016.

This does not include the amount of money that funded various projects to mark the celebrations.

Principal of the School, ‘Etika Haak said the money collected will be used for the development and renovation of the school in general.

It will include renovating the computer lab, science lab and other programs.

The celebration ended with a general meeting of the ex -students, followed with a luncheon in the afternoon and ended with a ball night on Friday evening at the Golden Holy Year Hall.

The Bishop of the Catholic Church Diocese of Tonga and Niue, His Eminence Soane Patita Cardinal Mafi commissioned the new hall together with other school projects.

Hundreds of ex students from the United States, NZ, Australia and Tongatapu attended the event.

More than 300 students were studying at the school last year.
