Passengers of Albatros donated 15, 000 EUROS to the 6 fishermen of the FV Losemani Fo’ou

Passengers of the German cruise ship Albatros collected about 15 thousand EURO or equivalent to more than TOP$35,000 and presented to the 6 Tongan fishermen in Auckland New Zealand.
The fishermen, who were rescued by the cruise ship and transferred to Auckland, have arrived safely in Nuku’alofa.
Tonga’s Consul in New Zealand, Sitaafooti ‘Aho said these are the fishermen of the FV Losemani Fo’ou.
‘Aho said the men were arranged with new passports, tickets and temporary visas for their short stay in Auckland by the Consul’s office.
The men were picked up by the Albatros last Saturday after receiving SOS calls from sea areas to the south of Tonga.
They were taken to Auckland and arrived there safely about 11:30 Monday night.
The captain of the cruise ship Albartros accommodated the fishermen up- to yesterday.
