Two diagnosed with typhoid, one from Nakolo and one from Fanga

Public gatherings and feastings in the village of Nakolo have been banned for a month after – a member of the village was diagnosed with typhoid.
Information from Nakolo to Radio Tonga says, the patient has been treated – so the village is currently focusing on hygiene lifestyle and cleaning up of the village.
The village’s one month curfew is to end later this month.
Meanwhile another patient from Fanga has been diagnosed with typhoid.
Information from the Ministry of Health says, they continue screening the case before any curfew is imposed in the village.
Currently the focus should be on prevention including prioritizing hygiene, cleaner environment for food preparation – and washing of hands at all times.
