Crown Prince Tupouto’a ‘Ulukalala made his traditional presentation – Ha’amo

HRH Crown Prince Tupouto’a ‘Ulukalala and his relatives from the Ngata Tupu Clan from Vava’u made their traditional presentation to the Royal Palace this morning.

They also made their presentation to the Ha’a Tufunga Clan at the Mapu ‘a Fuiva and to HRH Princess Pilolevu Tuita at the Royal Residence of Mahina Fekite.

It was led by talking chief – Pa’utu ‘o Vava’u and was responded by a talking chief from the Fale Ha’a Kili Clan.

The Clan also made food for their Majesties and for HRH Princess Pilolevu.

Following the presentation made by the Crown Prince was the traditional presentation of HSH Prince Fotofili and Lord Fusitu’a’s relatives from Niuafo’ou.

It was led by talking chief Pakiua ‘o Vailahi.

The people from Niuafo’ou also made presentation to HRH Princess Pilolevu Tuita and a feitu’ui presentation for Hon. ‘Anaseini Tupouveihola Fusitu’a this afternoon.

Hon. Tupouveihola is the great granddaughter of the Queen Mother – Halaevalu Mata’aho.

Last night, HRH Princess Pilolevu performed the hair cutting ceremony at the Royal Residence of Matahiva.

It started with the children of the Late Lord ‘Ahome’e namely Lavinia Veiongo Latuniua ‘Ahome’e and Pavel ‘Ahome’e ‘s hair.

The Late Lord ‘Ahome’e is the son of the Late Lord Viliami Maea Liuaki Vuna ‘Ahome’e the brother of the Late Queen Mother – Halaevalu Mata’aho.

The hair cutting ceremony is part of the traditional funeral rites in every Tongan funeral to show respect and honor to those that died.
