Black pebbles or kilikili layed at the Royal Tombs Mala’ekula

Their Majesties – King Tupou VI and Queen Nanasipau’u were at the Royal Tombs Mala’ekula for the preparation and laying of the black pebbles – kilikili.
HRH Princess Pilolevu Tuita and members of the Royal Family were also attending the royal ceremony.
The actual laying of the black pebbles were talking chiefs Takapu and Hauta’ulu together with the sacred hands – nimatapu from the Ha’a Tufunga Clan.
His Majesty’s relatives from Kanokupolu, and Ahau presented His Majesty’s traditional presentation Ha’amo to the Royal Palace.
It was led by talking chief from the Fale Ha’a Kili Clan and responded to by a talking chief from the same clan.
They made traditional presentation to the Ha’a Tufunga Clan in Mapu ‘a Fuiva, ‘Ulutolu Clan in Talakaepau, Fale Ha’a Kili Clan in Pangai Lahi and to HRH Princess Pilolevu Tuita at the Royal Residence of Mahina Fekite.
A spokesperson from the Clan said this is an indication that His Majesty is grieving with the public on the death of the beloved Queen Mother – the Late Halaevalu Mata’aho.
