Tongan recipients for Japan’s Scholarship 2017, congratulated by Ambassador

Two Tongans Sivoki Latu Fonua and Sandy Tu’ipulotu were congratulated by Japan’s Ambassador to Tonga as the recipients of Japan’s Scholarship for Tonga 2017.
Sivoki Latu Fonua – is currently working at the Tonga Communication Cooperation – TCC.
While Sandy Tu’ipulotu is working as a Senior Tourist Officer at the Ministry of Tourism.
They were welcomed by Japan’s Ambassador to Tonga – His Excellency Yukio Numata.
Sivoki Lia Latu Fonua will be taking a Research Scholarship at the Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University to complete her two years Master’s Degree (M.A) in Asia Pacific Studies.
Sandy Tu’ipulotu is awarded also a Research Scholarship at the Hokkaido University taking a Japanese Language course in the first six months before completing her Master’s Degree in Environmental Earth Science.
Both scholarship recipients are to depart for Japan, first week of April 2017.
