Their Majesties thanked the Royal Undertakers for their responsibilities during the royal funeral

Her Majesty – Queen Nanasipau’u and HRH Princess Pilolevu Tuita graced the gifts presentation to the Royal undertakers – nimatapu from the Ha’a Tufunga Clan for their customary duties during the royal funeral of the beloved Queen Mother – Late Halaevalu Mata’aho.
Presenting the gifts were HRH Princess Latufuipeka and Hon. Salote Maumautaimi Tuku’aho to the leading Royal Undertakers Nima Tapu – talking chiefs – Takapu and Hauta’ulu.
More than 40 Nima tapu took part in the royal funeral and resided temporarily at Mapu ‘a Fuiva.
The gifts included, traditional Tongan beds, blankets and to name a few.
On Saturday morning in the Royal Residence of Mahina Fekite, HRH Princess Pilolevu cut the hair of the Veikune Clan.
These are customary duties from Clans and families to show respect and tribute to the Death of the Queen Mother Halaevalu Mata’aho.
