5 kilogram of fish allowed for each passenger to Australia until current requirements change

Fisheries Department advises passengers travelling to Australia to take 5kilograms of fish only.

Other seafood are exempted from the limitation.

Dr. Tuikolongahau Halafihi the CEO of the Fisheries Department says passengers can take up to 20 kilograms of seafood, but they must be prepared to face the risk.

He continues saying his department and other related sectors will confirm the specific requirement on the issue.

Some  people are still confused over the requirements of fish and seafood taken by passengers to Australia.

Dr Halafihi says sometimes some cargo are not inspected and this  is why some people escape with  their 20 kilograms of seafood to Australia. .
