Pacific Cooperation Broadcasting Limited assists Tonga Broadcasting Commission

New Zealand’s High Commissioner to Tonga – Her Excellency Sarah Walsh yesterday presented equipment from the Pacific Cooperation Broadcasting Limited – PCBL to Tonga Broadcasting Commission – TBC.
It was presented to the Chairperson of TBC’s Board of Directors – Tapu Panuve.
TBC’s Chief Engineer – Solomone Finau said, the assistance includes a camera, wireless microphone, a spectrum to help detect the satellite output of programs to be broadcast.
He said, this will help TBC’s work especially on its outside broadcast assignment.
Meanwhile Natasha Meleisea from PCBL says they’re willing to work with Tonga Broadcasting Commission as a partner.
“We have been in operation since Feb 2016, and the best part of our program is providing 8 hours of content to the free to air broadcasters In the region we’re currently, working together with 23 broadcasters from 12 countries, and TBC is one of them. With regards to the training, it is to provide support with the equipment and the associated workers. Second part of our program is about training so one of the engineers will be brought to NZ for a couple of weeks to work with TV NZ”, says Natasha Meleisea.
The assistance is a follow up of training for several staff of TBC by Natasha and Shane Ormsby.
