Suspended Senior police officer charged for 3 counts on negligent driving

The Chief Superintendent of Police who was suspended last year has been charged for negligent driving.
Tevita Fifita who was head of the Nuku’alofa Police Station is also charged for interfering with judicial duties and using unauthorized license plates.
Fifita drove on a Police vehicle on November 18th 2016 and hit the security house at the entrance to Queen Salote Wharf.
It is alleged that he changed the license plate AFTER the incident.
The license plate used was unauthorized which is different from the one at time of the accident.
The case is with the magistrate Court.
