H.E Yukio Numata this morning marked the completion of construction of a new school building for the Upper Room Primary School of the Mo’ui fo’ou ‘ia Kalaisi Fellowship in Ha’ateiho.
The new building has 4 classrooms thanks to assistance from the Japanese Government worth more than 100 thousand pa’anga.
This was after the Parents and Teachers Association – PTA sought help from the Government of Japan for a new building.
This is due to the growing number of students.
It even got to a time where classes 5 and 6 had to use the school’s hall because there was no classroom for them to use.
But Japan’s assistance has solved this problem.
The school currently has more than 300 students with 19 teachers.
Attending this morning’s program was Lord and Lady Tu’iha’ateiho, some of the cabinet members, parents, staff, students and many guests.
