Fakatouola Lafo’ou of Ha’apai was found guilty by the Supreme Court for grievous bodily harm.

Lafo’ou was guilty of punching a referee during a rugby 7’s tournament held in Ha’apai last year sponsored by All Blacks player, Malakai Fekitoa.

A medical report provided during the hearing showed that Laafo’ou’s punch caused a fracture to the referee’s collarbone amongst other minor injuries.

Justice Charles Cato is expected to deliver his sentencing of the accused soon.
