Fiji Airway’s biggest Aircraft – A330 arrived Nuku’alofa this morning.
The 313 seater arrived with about 250 passengers from Hawaii, Australia, NZ and Fiji.
Speaking to Radio and Television Tonga News, Lovely Maka the Manager of its Tonga Branch says, Tonga will benefit from this in many ways and it will also solve problems of delaying cargoes.
Lovely says, they requested the head office in Suva for the A330 aircraft to help ease current travel schedules because of the current peak season.
Where they know many people overseas will travel to Tonga because of the various upcoming events such as the FWC’s conference, heilala week, His Majesty’s birthday, Royal Agricultural show and many others.
She says, a similar request will be made during the Christmas season.
The A330 aircraft departed Tonga this afternoon with more than 100 passengers heading to Fiji.
The Hon. Minister of Tourism – Semisi Sika, CEOs and Managers of various related businesses were at the airport to support this milestone.
