Miss ‘Ohonua Village pulled out of the Heilala week competition

Miss ‘Ohonua Village has pulled out of the Heilala week competition due to family problems.

 

However the contestants together with their supporters are gearing up for the upcoming competitions which include tonight’s Miss Tau’olunga and the Sarong wear and Island Creation tomorrow.

 

Various judging events have been completed including the talent, interview, and float parades where hundreds of locals gathered in Nuku’alofa to watch and support the contestants.

 

Meanwhile the singing competition in the Tongan language for the Heilala week has been completed and was judged in 2 categories.

 

First was the compulsory song, where the Fofonga’anga club came 4th, Fele’aetoa from Ha’apai came 3rd, Ahi ‘o Ulakai from ‘Ahau was the first runner up and the Maileua Club from Vai ko ‘oa claimed the 1st prize with TOP$2,000.

 

In the 2nd category, Ahi ‘o Ulakai came 4th, Huolanga of Kolomotu’a came 3rd, first runner up was the Fofo’anga Club from Kolofo’ou while the Fele’aeto’a Club from Ha’apai was the winner with TOP$2000.
