Seven cattle owned by one farmer slaughtered at once for an alleged damaged of watermelon farm.

Seven cattle’s in a livestock farm in Vava’u were all slaughtered together at the same time yesterday for allegedly trespassing at another farm in ‘Utui. Four of the slaughtered cattle’s are believed to be pregnant.
TV & Radio Tonga News spoke to the owner of the cattle’s who says that despite his loss he forgives the perpetrator of the incident.
It is alleged that the cows escaped from their fence and entered a watermelon allotment nearby therefore damaging the watermelons and other crops.
It is not yet known the true motives behind the slaughter.
Police in Vava’u are investigating the incident.
