Tongatapu is facing shortage of flour

Daily breads were no where to be found yesterday by many families because shops and bakeries were out of bread.
A flour shortage is being experienced in Tongatapu.
All of the shops in the Nuku’alofa area didn’t have any bread to sell since yesterday afternoon.
Reasons cited for the shortage of flour is changes in the arrival schedules of cargo vessels.
One of the bakers in Nuku’alofa said, the shortage began last Thursday and is expected to continue towards this week end.
This is the first time for Tonga’s major bakery -A Cowley and Sons to face flour shortage.
