Tonga receives TOP$1 million from its upper airspace annually

Tonga’s share from the upper airspace fees operated by New Zealand is more than 1 million pa’anga a year.


CEO of Tonga Airport Limited – Viliami Ma’ake said, Tonga’s upper air space is more than 30 – 40 thousand feet.


Tonga has a corridor where aircrafts travelling from Australia and New Zealand use to travel to places such as the US and Canada.


Tonga’s upper airspace runs from the West of Minerva to Niue.
