His Majesty – King Tupou VI has named the FWC in ‘Ohonua ‘Eua as ‘Ekelesia on Saturday.

He said with the completion and all the preparations fulfilled for the official opening of the new hall, the FWC congregation as well as all the people of ‘Eua give praise to God for this was the energy and effort of the people to reconstruct this building.

The meaning of Eucharist, has Geek origins which translates as ‘the church’ and in Tongan translation, ‘siasi’, but a more literal translation would be ‘assembly’ or ‘congress’.

His Majesty said at first, ‘Ekelesia was a chance for Greece to gather to vote on the governing of the nation. The Eucharist, as translated by the church, is a group of people who commit to work together for the benefit of the people.

The King said, he hopes this new hall will be used for the development of the nation as a while with developing the youth sector.

The church used to have a hall before it was damaged by TC Waka in 2001.

The estimated cost of the new hall is more than 1 million pa’anga and funded by Church members with many outside supporters.
